【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedforresearchorforqualitycontroltocharacterizetoluenediisocyanates.Hydrolyzablechlorinecorrelateswithperformanceinsomepolyurethanesystems.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthehydrolyzablechlorinecontentoftoluene-2,4-diisocyanate,toluene-2,6-diisocyanate,ormixturesofthetwo.Itisacceptabletoapplythistestmethodtootherisocyanatesofsuitablesolubility.(SeeNote1.)Themainsourcesofhydrolyzablechlorineintheisocyanatesarecarbamoylchlorideanddissolvedphosgene.Bothofthesecompoundsreactwithalcoholsandwater,formingureas,carbamates,carbondioxide,andhydrochloricacid.(SeeNote2.)1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;Itispossiblethatthistestmethodisapplicablecrudepolymericisocyanates.However,theprecisionwithcrudepolymericisocyanateshasnotbeenestablished.Note28212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
