【摘要】:Thepurposeofthisstandardistoprovidetheuserinformationandguidanceforselectingandusinginstrumentationthatwillprovidemeasurementresultsthatcanbecomparedtocriteriaforunrestricteduse.Useofthisstandardwillprovidegreaterassurancethatthemeasurementsobtainedwillbetechnicallyandadministrativelysufficientformakingdecisionsregardingcompletionofdecontaminationand/ordemolition/removalactivities.Useofthisstandardwillprovidegreaterassurancethatthemeasurementsobtainedwillbetechnicallyandadministrativelysufficienttomeetallapplicableregulatoryrequirementsforunrestrictedreleaseofacomponentforrecycleorreuse,orforunrestrictedreleaseofaremainingsurfaceorarea.1.1Thisstandardprovidesrecommendationsontheselectionanduseofportableinstrumentationthatisresponsivetolevelsofradiationthatareclosetonaturalbackground.Theseinstrumentsareemployedtodetectthepresenceofresidualradioactivitythatisat,orbelow,thecriteriaforreleasefromfurtherregulatorycontrolofacomponenttobesalvagedorreused,orasurfaceremainingattheconclusionofdecontaminationand/ordecommissioning.1.2Thechoiceoftheseinstruments,theiroperatingcharacteristicsandtheprotocolsbywhichtheyarecalibratedandusedwillprovideadequateassurancethatthemeasurementsoftheresidualradioactivitymeettherequirementsestablishedforreleasefromfurtherregulatorycontrol.1.3Thisstandardisapplicabletotheinsitumeasurementofradioactiveemissionsthatinclude:1.3.1alpha1.3.2beta(electrons)1.3.3gamma1.3.4characteristicx-rays1.3.5Themeasurementofneutronemissionsisnotincludedaspartofthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddosenotaddressinstrumentationusedtoassessresidualradioactivitylevelscontainedinairsamples,surfacecontaminationsmears,bulkmaterialremovals,orhalf/wholebodypersonnelmonitors.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotaddressrecordsretentionrequirementsforcalibration,maintenance,etc.asthesetopicsareconsideredinseveralofthereferenceddocuments.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.
