【摘要】:WARNING—Theattentionofallpersonsconcernedwithmanagingandcarryingoutthistestisdrawntothefactthatfiretestingcanbehazardousandthatthereisapossibilitythattoxicand/orharmfulsmokeandgasescanbeevolvedduringthetest.Operationalhazardscanalsoariseduringthetestingofspecimensandthedisposaloftestresidues.Anassessmentofallpotentialhazardsandriskstohealthshouldbemadeandsafetyprecautionsidentifiedandprovided.Writtensafetyinstructionsshouldbeissued.Appropriatetrainingshouldbegiventorelevantpersonnel.Laboratorypersonnelshouldensurethattheyfollowwrittensafetyinstructionsatalltimes.Adequatemeansofextinguishingthespecimenshouldbeprovided,bearinginmindthatsomespecimenscanproducesevereflamingduringthetest.Ahandwatersprayoraninertgassuppressionsystem,e.g.compressednitrogen,whichcanbedirectedtotheburningarea,shouldbeavailabletogetherwithothermeans,suchasfireextinguishers.Insomecases,smoulderingcanbedifficulttoextinguishcompletelyandimmersioninwatercanbenecessary.ThispartofISO11925specifiesamethodoftestfordeterminingtheignitabilityofproductsbydirectsmallflameimpingementunderzeroimpressedirradianceusingverticallyorientedtestspecimens.InformationontheprecisionofthetestmethodisgiveninAnnexA.
